Location

Huelva is home to two of Spain’s most stunning natural areas: the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park and the Doñana National Park.
The Sierra de Aracena boasts lush forests of holm oaks, cork oaks, and chestnuts, alongside picturesque villages like Aracena and Cortegana. Known for its rich gastronomy—especially its world-famous jamón ibérico—this region offers endless hiking trails that immerse visitors in nature and local culture.
The Doñana National Park, one of Europe’s most important wetlands, features shifting dunes, vast marshes, and pine forests. It is a sanctuary for wildlife, including migratory birds and the endangered Iberian lynx. The park is also home to El Rocío, a village famous for its annual pilgrimage.
Together, these parks showcase Huelva’s natural beauty and cultural richness, making them the perfect setting for an immersive Spanish language experience rooted in sustainability and tradition.

Sevilla

As part of the program, participants explore Seville, a city rich in history and vibrant traditions. They visit the Real Alcázar, a stunning Moorish palace with intricate architecture and lush gardens. At the Plaza de España, they admire its grand semicircular design, a symbol of Spain’s cultural heritage. The experience continues at Seville’s Cathedral, home to the Giralda tower and the tomb of Christopher Columbus. This visit blends history, art, and language immersion in an unforgettable setting.

Cortegana

Nestled in the Sierra de Aracena, Cortegana is a charming village known for its medieval castle, whitewashed streets, and vibrant local culture. Participants explore its historic sites, interact with artisans, and experience the lively town square. The visit fosters independence, encouraging students to navigate the village and engage with locals in Spanish. A stop at the cultural center “Casino”, in collaboration with Chinchimonete, offers traditional games and a taste of daily life in rural Spain.

The Gruta de las Maravillas

Hidden beneath Aracena, this spectacular karst cave system showcases underground lakes, stalactites, and breathtaking rock formations. The Cave of Wonders has been shaped over centuries by water and time, creating an otherworldly setting. Participants explore its galleries and tunnels, discovering the geological forces that formed this natural marvel. The visit also highlights sustainability and conservation, reinforcing the importance of preserving delicate ecosystems while marveling at one of Spain’s most stunning underground landscapes.

Historical reenactments

A unique blend of history, storytelling, and nature through an immersive theatrical hiking tour. Led by an expert in local heritage, participants walk scenic trails while witnessing reenactments of key historical moments. This interactive approach makes history come alive, deepening participants’ understanding of the region’s past, legends, and traditions. The moderate hike allows for both engagement and reflection, providing a meaningful connection to the landscape and its rich cultural significance.

Traditional Workshops

Immersion goes beyond language—participants engage in hands-on workshops that highlight sustainable rural traditions. In a natural cosmetics workshop, they create soaps and balms using local plants, while a candle-making session at a family-run farm introduces them to artisanal techniques. A gastronomic experience includes tasting locally sourced products and learning about their origins. These activities reinforce eco-friendly practices and provide insight into a way of life deeply connected to the land and its resources.
