Reglas para participantes
High School Students

1. Los Participantes del Programa respetarán y mantendrán las reglas de MundoLengua con respecto al toque de queda. Las actividades tales como invitar a los huéspedes a la casa de la familia anfitriona, fumar dentro de la casa, el uso del teléfono de la familia y, si corresponde, el uso de Internet de la familia, deben ser aprobados por la familia.

 

2. Program Participants will not drive cars, motorcycles, or scooters at any time during the Program. In order for a Program Participant to drive any off-road motorized vehicle, MundoLengua must receive written permission from parents or legal guardian.

 

3. No Program Participant is permitted to travel outside the local area either alone or with other students. Overnight travel is permitted only with the approved group.

 

4. Hitchhiking or soliciting a ride from a stranger is prohibited.

 

5. Program Participants may not enter into any kind of contractual arrangement, be it business, religious, or marital.

 

6. Program Participants will not make any permanent or drastic changes in their personal appearance while on the Program without MundoLengua receiving prior written consent from their parents or legal guardian. Examples include body piercings, tattoos, or dramatic and unconventional hair dyes.

 

7. Program Participants must take responsibility for all personal property; MundoLengua cannot be held responsible for any Program Participant’s personal property that is lost or stolen.

 

8. Program Participants will not discuss their host family’s private affairs with anyone other than a MundoLengua representative.

 

9. Program Participants cannot change their host family without permission from a MundoLengua representative.

 

10. Program Participants must obey all local and national laws.

 

11. Program Participants must respect the legal drinking age of their home country and of Spain. Program Participants who have not achieved the legal drinking age of their home country and of Spain must adhere to MundoLengua’s rules pertaining to the drinking of alcohol, which includes zero tolerance. Program Participants may not associate or spend time with others who are drinking alcohol. Depending on the gravity of the situation and at MundoLengua’s sole discretion, Program Participants who break these rules may face expulsion from the Program. Said expulsion will be made known to the Program Participant and their family both verbally and in writing. At the very least, Program Participants will forfeit their right to participate in certain parts of the Program as determined by MundoLengua (this might include afternoon activities, nighttime activities, weekend excursions, etc.). Program Participants will also forfeit their right to any refund of monies for unused parts of the Program. Program Participants who are expelled from the Program will be sent home at their own expense. It is the Program Participant’s responsibility to arrange supervision for his/her return home. MundoLengua can provide assistance, under the condition that Program Participants and their family pay any and all associated costs in advance resulting from said expulsion and return home. These costs will be made known in writing to the Program Participants and their family within one day following the Program Participant’s expulsion from the Program.

 

12. Use of illegal drugs, or association with anyone involved with illegal drugs, will result in the Program Participant being expelled from the Program and sent back to his/her home country, without recourse and at his/her expense. Said expulsion will be made known to the Program Participant and their family both verbally and in writing. Program Participants will also forfeit their right to any refund of monies for unused parts of the Program. It is the Program Participant’s responsibility to arrange supervision for his/her return home. MundoLengua can provide assistance, under the condition that Program Participants and their family pay any and all associated costs in advance resulting from said expulsion and return home. These costs will be made known in writing to the Program Participants and their family within one day following the Program Participant’s expulsion from the Program.

 

13. Program Participants must be in good standing with their home schools and also abide by MundoLengua’s Program Rules during the program, including but not limited to, no bullying (real or virtual), no threats against other students or staff, and no discrimination of any sort.
