Scholarship ACTFL Spanish Teachers

In collaboration with ACTFL, Centro MundoLengua is offering one scholarship for 2024.

The scholarship is available to American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages actual high school / college / university Spanish teachers.

Our main goal is to ensure that the recipient of this scholarship learns pertinent information to be brought back and shared with their students.

Description

The scholarship winner will be able to participate in one of our College Board® APSI Spanish (Language or Literature) in Seville or Madrid or our  Training courses for Spanish teachers at the University of Cadiz.

Seville and Cadiz are one of the oldest cities in Western Europe. Both encompass an incredible historical, cultural, artistic and gastronomic heritage. Check teacher training programs details.

Our Spanish teacher courses are designed to develop and consolidate teacher skills in a Spanish speaking environment. You will discover new tools and resources for teaching Spanish to bring your classes to life!

Classes are complemented by a program of cultural visits and activities.

The program includes:

  • 50 hours of classes + 10 hours of self-study and tutoring combined (30 hours for APSI Spanish)
  • Cultural activities
  • 24 hour support
  • Class materials
  • University/College Board certificate
  • Airport transfer from/to Jerez de la Frontera/Seville if you travel with a group of students
Pre-requisites
  • The scholarship is available to American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages actual high school / college / university Spanish teachers, with preference given to high school teachers.
  • Teachers applying for the scholarship must show interest in travelling with their students to Spain, or in encouraging the participation of their students in study abroad programs in Spain.
  • At the end of the stay, the winning teacher will have to submit a blog post to Centro MundoLengua about the overall experience in Spain.
Program dates

The scholarship winner will be able to choose between one of the 5 following sessions:

  • June 24 – 28, 2024. AP® Spanish Language and Culture Workshop in Seville
  • June 24 – 28, 2024. AP® Spanish Literature and Culture Workshop in Seville
  • July 1 – 5, 2024. AP® Spanish Language and Culture Workshop in Madrid
  • June 23 – July 6, 2024 (Basic Level). Program for Spanish teachers without previous experience or prior training, or those who wish to teach students at a novice level (Cadiz)
  • July 7 – July 20, 2024 (Superior Level). Program for Spanish teachers with experience or prior training, or those who wish to teach students at an advanced level (Cadiz)
Application deadline

Centro MundoLengua must receive your application without exception before the scholarship deadline on April 1st, 2024.

The winner of the scholarship will be communicated on April 15th, 2024.
