In collaboration with BCATML, Centro MundoLengua is offering one scholarship for 2024.

The scholarship is available to British Columbia actual high school / college / university Spanish teachers.

Our main goal is to ensure that the recipient of this scholarship learns pertinent information to be brought back and shared with their students.

Description

The scholarship winner will be able to participate in one of our Training courses for Spanish teachers at the University of Cadiz.

Cadiz is the oldest city in Western Europe with an incredible historical, cultural, artistic and gastronomic heritage. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, Cadiz is also famous for its magnificent sandy beaches.

Our Spanish teacher courses are specially designed to allow each teacher to develop and consolidate their skills in a Spanish speaking environment. Whether you are just starting your career or are an expert in teaching Spanish, you will discover new tools and resources to bring your Spanish classes to life!

Classes at the University of Cadiz are complemented by a program of cultural visits and activities.

The program includes

  • 50 hours of classes + 10 hours of self-study and tutoring combined
  • Cultural activities
  • 24 hour support
  • Class materials
  • University certificate
Pre-requisites
  • The scholarship is available to British Columbia actual high school / college / university Spanish teachers, with preference given to high school teachers.
  • Teachers who want to apply for the scholarship must show interest in travelling to Spain with their students in the future, or in encouraging the participation of their students in study abroad programs in Spain.
  • At the end of the stay, the winning teacher will have to submit a blog post to Centro MundoLengua about the overall experience in Spain.
Program dates

The scholarship winner will be able to choose between one of the 3 following sessions:

  • June 23 – July 6, 2024 (Basic Level). Program for Spanish teachers without previous experience or prior training, or those who wish to teach students at a novice level.
  • July 7 – July 20, 2024 (Superior Level). Program for Spanish teachers with experience or prior training, or those who wish to teach students at an advanced level.
Application deadline

Centro MundoLengua must receive your application without exception before the scholarship deadline on the April 1st, 2024.

The winner of the scholarship will be communicated on April 15th, 2024.
